Little Bear Co. LLC is a new effort by the Glover family and close partners focused on working with strong HVAC and plumbing businesses.
As a group, we have spent many years building and operating businesses across different industries. Today, we also own and manage about 90 single-family homes in Northeast Ohio, along with our own property management company.
We are interested in working with the right company and seeing if there is a way to build something together. That could mean providing capital, support, or simply working alongside an owner in a way that makes sense for them.
Our focus is straightforward: find good businesses, work with good people, and help move things forward in a practical way.

Our journey began in property investing, where we own and managed a portfolio of residential homes across Northeast Ohio. Through that experience, we developed a deep appreciation for operating businesses, managing people, and creating long-term value.

Doug Glover
Doug Glover is a Cleveland-based business operator and owner with over 30 years of experience in building and running businesses. He owns and manages a 90-property portfolio across the Cleveland area, and served as CEO of a video game company, making him a tech-savvy partner with an understanding of trends and future innovation. With a Juris Doctor, his background in law and corporations gives him the tools to structure deals, protect partnerships, and help good businesses grow.
Founder & Managing Member
Ken Smith
Ken Smith is the President Elect of PHCC National and the former Managing Partner of United Comfort Group. He has over 33 years of HVAC and plumbing experience leading teams across operations, finance, compliance, HR, and recruiting. Ken is a Licensed Master in HVAC, plumbing, gas fitting, and electrical, and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University—bringing the full spectrum of what it takes to build and run a great service business.

Acquisition Associate & OperatorKai Glover
Kai graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Construction Management, with a focus on MEP systems. He spent three years working in development coordinating many large-scale commercial projects, including Publix grocery stores. Today he is focused on the day-to-day future of Little Bear Co. and will be actively involved in operations, supporting employees, and promoting the company’s reputation.
